Summary:

Made up of leaders from all three branches of Florida government; The Florida Bar; The Florida Bar Foundation; civil legal aid providers; the business community and other stakeholders, the Commission is working in a coordinated effort to identify and remove economic barriers to civil justice. It was created by an administrative order signed by Florida Chief Justice Jorge Labarga in November 2014.

This second meeting was held on Friday, May 15 in Tampa. The group heard reports from five subcommittees and were given a preview of the Access to Justice Knowledge Base: an Internet resource providing information about Access to Civil Justice commissions found in all 50 states and District of Columbia, plus agencies and other groups who can provide assistance to people with questions about Florida's civil justice system.
