Sexton was charged with the murder of Joel Good, whose body was found in a shallow grave in the Little Manatee State Park in January 1994. His conviction and death sentence were reversed in 1997 due to errors at trial. He again was sentenced to death in 1998 after retrial. This is his direct appeal.
