Gardening for Grades Resource

April 18, 2018

I’d like to share this resource that I found through UF/IFAS’s Community and School Garden website. It’s a resource called “Gardening for Grades”, and it lists a bunch of interesting and engaging (and also very detailed!) gardening-related lesson plans to implement in Florida classrooms. It also includes connections to Florida Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and National Family and Consumer Science Standards. The standards range from Kindergarten through 8th grade, and the website lists 27 pages worth of connections! In addition, the website includes activities that promote nutrition education, as well as additional resources like corresponding literature and games. The website is a great way to get kids excited about sustainability and eating healthy, plus it’s a fun excuse to get a little messy!

Check out this awesome resource here.
