Hi everyone, I am Dedon Stancil! This summer, I<\/span>\u2019m<\/span> working with WFSU through a program called T.F.L.A.<\/span>, aka<\/span>\u00a0Tallahassee Future Leade<\/span>rs Academy.<\/span> TFLA is a program that helps high school students get employed over the summer. Their premise is that they p<\/span>rovide opportunities to learn more about careers and pro<\/span>fessions. Each year they have about 100 slots, and luckily this year, I am one of the people that will be filling them.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/span>When I was looking for a job among their long list of options, I was excited to see a position<\/span> at<\/span>\u00a0WFSU. I<\/span>\u2019<\/span>ve listened to\u00a0<\/span>their numerous programs<\/span> on the radio station<\/span> and always found them exciting<\/span>\u00a0and interesting. I also thought it wo<\/span>uld be cool to see everything behind the scenes. How they make the radio shows, and how WFSU operates in general.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>So<\/span>,<\/span> when I saw the space I applied for,<\/span> I was glad I did.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
T<\/span>he<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>people here are lovely to be around, and their work with young kids is vital; I’m glad <\/span>I can participate this summer. I\u2019m also very excited to get a behind-the-scenes look at how some radio shows and mechanics look f<\/span>rom the other side.<\/span> Overall, <\/span>\u00a0this summer will be a great chance to explore a possible career\u00a0<\/span>opportunity<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>make great memories.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
