Be My Neighbor Day is one of WFSU\u2019s most anticipated events of the year! Join us as we bring together local organizations and families for a day of fun and education. Meet over 20 community partners that serve families and young children, learn about new early education resources, and enjoy games and activities including a meet-and-greet with Daniel Tiger!<\/p>\n

Be My Neighbor Day is inspired by Daniel Tiger\u2019s Neighborhood and Mister Rogers. Mister Rogers\u2019 Neighborhood was a monumental television series for children\u2019s public media. The show enforces Fred Rogers\u2019 belief that every child deserves respect and emphasizes the importance of being kind to our neighbors and building community. Upholding the same values, Daniel Tiger\u2019s Neighborhood is an animated children\u2019s show about Daniel Tiger and his friends, seeking to connect with young kids on their level.<\/p>\n

Through Be My Neighbor Day, kids can see the lessons taught in Daniel Tiger\u2019s Neighborhood come to life as they interact with their local leaders and understand the importance of those who live and work around them. Prizes available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place costumes.<\/p>\n Daniel Tiger Meet and Greet<\/strong>: Take a picture with Daniel himself and feel like you\u2019re part of the neighborhood!<\/p>\n Sensory Room<\/strong>: For anyone feeling overstimulated, we\u2019ve created a dedicated, calming space designed to offer a soothing environment. Fidget\/sensory toys will be provided and the room will be showing a Daniel Tiger episode at low volume.<\/p>\n Community Resources<\/strong>: Learn about local services and resources available for your family through our community partners.<\/p>\n Trolley<\/strong>: We have a trolley for you to explore and take fun photos!
