Jones was severely injured and burned on the job in May 2000 when Building 78 at the Martin Electronics Plant suddenly exploded. He received workers compensation benefits, but later sued on grounds that his employer's conduct leading up to the explosion was not protected by workers compensation immunity. The trial court denied Martin Electronics' motion for summary judgment, but the First District Court reversed.
