Mr. Rodgers was convicted of the first-degree murder of Jennifer Robinson, who was fatally shot in 1998. He was condemned to death but this Court overturned the sentence and ordered a new penalty hearing. At the second penalty hearing, Mr. Rodgers waived his right to a jury recommendation. The judge sentenced Mr. Rodgers to death a second time. This is his direct appeal.
