Mr. Mosley was convicted of the 2004 murders of Lynda Wilkes and her infant son, Jay-Quan Mosley. Ms. Wilkes was strangled and the 10-month-old baby was suffocated. The jury recommended a life sentence for the murder of Ms. Wilkes and, by a vote of 8-4, a death sentence for the murder of Jay-Quan. The trial court followed those recommendations.
