Timothy Hurst v. State of Florida
Mr. Hurst was convicted of the first-degree murder of Cynthia Harrison, who was fatally stabbed and slashed in 1998. He was condemned and this Court upheld his death sentence on direct appeal. Mr. Hurst filed a post-conviction challenge in trial court. It was denied but on appeal this Court vacated the death sentence. At Mr. Hurst's second sentencing hearing, the jury voted 7-5 to recommend a death sentence. The trial court condemned him a second time. This is his direct appeal of his second death sentence.
