Doty was convicted and sentenced to death in the 2011 first-degree murder of a fellow inmate at the Florida State Prison. This Court previously upheld Doty’s conviction and death sentence on appeal. In 2022, Doty filed a postconviction challenge in the trial court, raising several issues. His claims were denied, and this appeal followed.
