Justice Gerald Kogan has served on the Supreme Court of Florida since his appointment by Gov. Bob Martinez, effective Jan. 30, 1987. He is the appointee from the territorial limits of the Third District Court of Appeal, encompassing Dade and Monroe Counties. His retirement takes effect Dec. 31, 1998. Shortly afterward, Justice Kogan will become President of the Alliance for Ethical Government in Miami-Dade County.
