Brown was tried, convicted, and sentenced to death for the March 20, 1986, murder of Pauline Cowell in the home of her sister and brother-in-law. The jury recommended the death penalty 7-to-5 and the judge agreed. On appeal, his sentence was affirmed. He now challenges the validity of his death sentence.
