Summary:

In November 1998 Florida voters amended the Constitution to provide that county court judges will have the same term of service as all other Florida judges-6 years. The amendment, however, specified no effective date as to this specific change. Governor Jeb Bush asked for an advisory opinion to determine when the change takes effect.
