Zile and her husband were charged with aggravated child abuse and murder in connection with the death of her 7-year-old daughter Christina Holt. She was convicted and sentenced to life in prison. She challenged her conviction on grounds that statements she gave to police were improperly used against her in court. The Fourth District Court rejected this argument, and she appeals.
