McFadden was tried on charges of battering his wife. In questioning McFadden, the State introduced evidence he previously had pled guilty to battering his wife, though adjudication was withheld. On appeal the Third District Court reversed on grounds it was improper to introduce evidence of a prior offense if adjudication was withheld.
