Art From the Heart

Students ages 6 to 12 will learn a variety of mediums from drawing, painting, to pen and ink through fun and engaging projects as well as how to translate their ideas creatively. This class will help the kids grasp an understanding of the basic elements of art like line, shape, form, composition, and color theory. Students will work on projects spanning across various class periods and gain an idea of what it is like to work on numerous works at once while simultaneously obtaining new ideas. I want the kids to begin to discover themselves as artists, no matter their initial level of skill! It is my goal to establish a fun and productive environment that the children look forward to coming to each class. From a pet portrait project to a zentangle landscape, by the end of this course, students will have a variety of projects done in different mediums to take home and enjoy!
