Kickin’ Cancer Soccer Game for FLA Foundation
March 29, 2021 (Tallahassee, FL) — The F.L.A. Foundation has announced their first annual “Kickin’ Cancer” soccer game and fundraiser to be held April 9, 2021, from 5 – 8 p.m. at Northside Community Center in Tallahassee. The event will help support families of children fighting pediatric blood cancers. A $20 donation affords participants a game shirt and playing time during one of the scrimmages. Based on numbers, the F.L.A. Foundation will assign teams and game times. The Kickin’ Cancer event will happen rain or shine!
“Kickin’ Cancer is a team sport, and I really hope a lot of Tallahassee area residents will support our team so that we can help families of children fighting pediatric blood cancers,” said F.L.A. Foundation President Taylor Koegel. Koegel went on to say, “Even if you can’t participate in Kickin’ Cancer, any amount you feel compelled to donate will help fund our mission and help us build our ‘Bushel of Love’ baskets for these families.”

About F.L.A. Foundation
In January of 2007, foundation President, Taylor Koegel was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (Pre-B). Taylor endured 27 months of chemotherapy; both inpatient and outpatient procedures. F.L.A. stands for “Faith, Love, and Applesauce,” the three things that helped Taylor get through her 27 months of treatment. As she got older, Taylor decided to use her voice to speak out and raise awareness for families impacted by pediatric blood cancers as well as provide support to these families – letting them know they are not alone as they navigate this journey. And with those ideas in mind, the F.L.A. Foundation was born.
The mission of the F.L.A. Foundation is to fundraise, support, and provide networks for families impacted by pediatric blood cancers. Learn more at fla-foundation.com.
