“Yuletide Season” Youth Floral Design & Ornament Making Workshop

Children love getting involved with holiday decorating, too!  Give them the opportunity to create something extra special to share. The youth workshop, for those ages 8 years and up, is Saturday, December 3, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at the Pebble Hill Plantation Learning Center. Laura Strickland, Pebble Hill Plantation’s horticulturalist and floral designer, will lead this festive festive workshops of floral design and fun! Laura has more than 30 years of experience working in the historic gardens of Pebble Hill Plantation and The Sea Island Company. Laura will guide the youth participants in making a simple holiday floral arrangement using Pebble Hill greenery. The students will also make a nature-themed Christmas ornament like those historically used in the holiday decorations in the Main House. All materials will be provided. Everyone is asked to bring pruning shears and gardening gloves. Light refreshments will be served.
