locations, and pretty darn expensive too!&nbsp;But there\u2019s a guy in Tallahassee that has an idea that takes virtual reality rides out of theme parks and puts them in local shopping href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/NewWorldRides.Social\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New World Rides<\/a>.&nbsp;They\u2019re headquartered at The Center for Alternate Reality in Tallahassee\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.artdistrict.com\/railroad-square\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Railroad Square Art District<\/a>.&nbsp;Nick has designed, patented, and built his company\u2019s first virtual reality motion platform and he calls it the RotoLoco. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left platforms is its ability to rotate 360 degrees, on 3 axes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nick tells me, \u201cVirtual Reality has a locomotion problem.&nbsp;You can make people really sick in VR if you\u2019re not careful.&nbsp;It essentially comes down to when there\u2019s a mismatch in the real acceleration and the virtual acceleration.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The RotoLoco solves the problem with its ability to move 360 degrees in any direction.&nbsp;That allows the body&#8217;s vestibular system (balance\/motion), and the visual experience to stay synchronized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-vivid-green-cyan-color has-text-color wp-block-heading\"><strong>RotoLoco as a business<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large point harness safety belts.<\/strong>  <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Suttell explains, \u201cThe way I see it going is, we\u2019re going to make these motion platforms for third-party operators. But we\u2019re also going to help develop the content for it, too.&nbsp; We might make some experiences in-house, and then we\u2019ll find some other third-party developers to help us make some other additional experiences, for the motion platforms. And then to eventually branch out into training and therapy, but it&#8217;s easier to start with entertainment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-vivid-green-cyan-color has-text-color wp-block-heading\"><strong>Shuttle 39<\/strong> Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The ride experience is called Shuttle 39.&nbsp;It takes two riders, a pilot and a collector\/gunner through an asteroid.&nbsp;The idea is to \u201ccollect\u201d (aka shoot) the correct shaped and colored artifact without hitting the wrong shaped and colored forms.
