Triple-A\u2019s Tow to Go program is celebrating its 25th<\/sup> anniversary. The auto club says it has removed more than 25,000 impaired drivers from the road.<\/p>\n

Those efforts continue for St. Patrick\u2019s Day weekend. Free rides will be available for impaired drivers in Florida and Georgia from this evening until Monday morning.<\/p>\n

When someone calls Tow to Go, AAA sends a tow truck to transport the driver and their vehicle to a safe location within a 10-mile radius. The service is free for anyone, and AAA asks that it be treated as a last resort.<\/p>\n

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, St. Patrick\u2019s Day is one of the deadliest times on the roadways. In 2020, more than 11,000 people died in drunk-driving crashes during this time period.<\/p>\n
