Florida A&M women\u2019s bowling team is welcoming Capri Howard as its new head coach. FAMU’s Vice President & Director of Athletics Tiffani-Dawn Sykes made the announcement<\/a> last Friday.<\/p>\n

Howard replaces former head coach Karen Brown, who retired last year<\/a> after spending 11 seasons with the Rattlers.<\/p>\n

Howard is a former collegiate bowler from Jackson State University. While in college, Howard made three Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) title appearances and was named to four All-SWAC teams.<\/p>\n

In a press release<\/a>, Howard said she looks to use her experience to help bring FAMU its first championship, a feat the club nearly pulled off last season when the Lady Rattlers finished third in the SWAC Tournament.<\/p>\n

Howard’s official start date is set for August 28th. <\/p>\n
