A funeral will be held Friday for Frank Rudd, president and CEO of the Florida Society of Association Executives who died after battling cancer, the association said Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Rudd, 59, also held previous positions with the Florida Home Builders Association, the Florida School Nutrition Association and the Florida Engineering Society and the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrank recently took a medical leave of absence to concentrate on his health,\u201d the association said in an announcement about his death. \u201cUnfortunately, his illness progressed quickly and he passed peacefully in his home after an eight-month battle with cancer.\u201d<\/p>\n

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Baptist Church in Tallahassee.<\/p>\n
