It\u2019s been one year since 12-year-old Lori Paige<\/a> went missing. She was last seen on Tallahassee\u2019s Northwest side near Ocala Road. Since then, her 13th birthday has come and gone, but the family says there\u2019s still no sign of her.<\/p>\n

WFSU\u2019s Adrian Andrews spoke with Tallahassee\u2019s Police Chief Lawrence Revell on Monday, the one-year anniversary of Paige\u2019s disappearance.<\/p>\n

ADRIAN ANDREWS: What happens in these sorts of cases? What sort of clues do you look for?<\/p>\n

LAWRENCE REVELL: Well, I mean, when we get especially a child, especially a 12-year-old-child, it’s all hands on deck. So, we have officers from our Special Victims Unit, we have officers from a homicide unit, we have officers from robbery, and even some of our property detectives, all of them come together to follow up on every lead, everything that we get, every camera that we need to look at. We’ve had dive teams go out, we’ve had cadaver dogs\u2026<\/p>\n

ADRIAN ANDREWS: Have you heard from Lori’s family, or any sort of local sponsors, or groups, that’s out there? Are they helping you in the case?<\/p>\n

LAWRENCE REVELL: Well, you know, we’ve certainly been in contact with the family. You know, this is a tri state investigation, national investigation, but we know specifically the family lives in three different states.<\/p>\n

We have been to all of those locations, some of them multiple times. We’ve talked with the family again, multiple times. And, you know, we continue to follow up every lead in relation to all those discussions and everything that’s going on with those discussions.<\/p>\n

As far as locally, you know, we’ve partnered with a couple of people around town that have come out and helped us when we do neighborhood canvases.<\/p>\n

Some of those groups have kind of done those things on their own and pass out flyers, and that’s great, because the more community involvement we get, the better the chances are that we’re going to find that one small piece of evidence or that one small piece of information that’s going to tie all of this together. It’s going to connect all the dots and allow us to complete that puzzle and bring this case to a close.<\/p>\n

ADRIAN ANDREWS: Chief, I really do appreciate it and all the great work that you guys are doing over the years.<\/p>\n

LAWRENCE REVELL: I appreciate it Adrian.<\/p>\n

According to police, Paige is described as a dark-skinned Black female with shoulder-length dreadlocks and weighs about 120 pounds. It is unknown what she was wearing when she was last seen, but police say she may have had a multicolored backpack. Anyone with information that could lead to Paige\u2019s recovery should contact TPD at 850-891-4200<\/b>. <\/p>\n
