Former Florida State University basketball star Scottie Barnes<\/a> is slated to make $270 million over the next five years.<\/p>\n

The former Seminole plans to sign a five-year rookie extension<\/a> to continue playing with the Toronto Raptors.<\/p>\n

Florida State signed the 6-foot-9 point guard in the 2020 recruiting class.<\/p>\n

Barnes led FSU\u2019s men\u2019s basketball team to the Atlantic Coast Championship and the NCAA Division I Basketball Tournament.<\/p>\n

Barnes declared for the 2021 NBA Draft after the 2020-2021 season and was selected 4th overall by the Raptors.<\/p>\n

\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n

Barnes\u2019 new deal is expected to earn him $39 million annually. But by 2029-2030, he\u2019ll be making well over $50 million with player incentives.<\/p>\n

Barnes is entering his last year of his rookie deal, which is worth $10 million dollars.<\/p>\n

In his three NBA seasons, the former Florida State star is averaging 16.6 points, 7.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists. <\/p>\n
