On Tuesday, two single mothers in Tallahassee became first-time homeowners with the help of Florida State football legend Warrick Dunn and the Big Bend Habitat for Humanity<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Through Dunn’s charity group, Warrick Dunn Charities (WDC)<\/a>, Jasmine Gadsen and Sharmetreius Russ each received $5,000 in down-payment assistance and $10,000 worth of furnishings from Aaron\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Additionally, WDC ensured both homes were fully stocked with food.<\/p>\n

The gift comes with what\u2019s considered to be an “affordable mortgage” for each family.<\/p>\n

\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n

The former NFL star and soon to be College Football Hall of Famer<\/a>, has helped dozens of single parents become homeowners in the Big Bend.<\/p>\n

Dunn started the “Homes for the Holidays”<\/a> program in 1997, during his first season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.<\/p>\n

Tuesday’s event was Dunn’s 228th and 229th home giveaway nationwide. <\/p>\n
