That artistry takes flight every year during the Holiday Art Affair.<\/p>\n<p>In 1994, Coop resident Marjean Machulis started the event shortly after the tragic death of her 17-year old daughter. Since then, Machulis said that tribute has become a community touchstone and a huge hit with local fans of hand-crafted work.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think it attracts more people because we crave that heart and connection.
