She soon recast it as a non-profit enterprise, giving it access to more resources and enabling her to attract more forever homes for the cafe&#8217;s four-legged clients.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We did a count this morning so we could actually say how many adoptions it has been, and I think I can get the number right: 1,728 kitties in 8 years.
