The Tallahassee Ballet is among the arts groups that have endured two years of state funding cuts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

CEO Lauren Hernandez hopes the “2nd Annual Bevs Bites and Ballet Benefit Gala” on November 13 at The Moon will help fill the gap.<\/p>\n

“This fundraiser<\/a> will help support the loss of state funding that has occurred now 2 years in row,” Hernandez wrote in an email about the gala. “We have unfortunately lost around $115,000 in 2024 and now the same in 2025, which as you can imagine for an arts non-profit is a significant loss to our budget.” <\/p>\n

The ballet company has a season of performances, including The Nutcracker<\/em>. In addition to various class offerings, it also has paid dancer positions.<\/p>\n

The gala will include entertainment, food from Hayward House Bistro, and a silent auction.<\/p>\n
