Tallahassee’s Chain of Parks Art Festival took place over the weekend in the city’s downtown green spaces along Park Avenue. The event has consistently ranked among the nation’s best art shows and sales for the past several years.
In addition to the creative output of more than 160 visual artists, there was also lots of auditory art from local musicians to keep the vibe even more festive.
The show’s outstanding reputation attracts artists from everywhere. Jesse Kunerth and his pop-culture paintings hailed from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
“I love coming to Tallahassee! It’s my third time here and it’s fun; a fun time for sure!”
Coastal landscape painter Randy Brienan and his painter wife Debra called Tallahassee home for many years. They recently relocated to St. Augustine, but the festival brought them back.
“Its very similar is some of the areas. So we’re blending right in got a few new pieces from that area. So we’ll be doing more for sure.”
For the first time, this year’s Chain of Parks Festival featured a special exhibit of some of the region’s most celebrated folk artists, along with the traditional fine art creations.
