Florida A&M University’s women’s basketball team is looking to do what’s never been done before in program history…win a Southwestern Athletic Conference title.
The Lady Rattlers, for the first time, will be taking part in the SWAC Tournament March 13-16 after a comeback 69-65 win over Bethune Cookman on Saturday.
Led by 1st-year Head Coach Bridgette Gordon, the team put an end to a five-year post-season drought, by beating the Wildcats.
Coming into the matchup, the Rattlers had beaten seven SWAC teams, which is a season high for the program since joining the conference in 2021.
The Lady Rattlers will get their first post-season shot against Grambling University as the 7-seed on Wednesday, March 13, at noon Eastern on ESPN+.
