Original Air Date: March 20, 2013

The Panhandle Pioneer Settlement in Calhoun County is only about an hour away from Tallahassee, but the folks who run it have created a whole world dedicated to demonstrating rural life as it once was prior to 1945. WFSU had the chance to explore the historic buildings and found more than just an opportunity to step back in time. The Panhandle Pioneer Settlement is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am until 2pm. For more information about their festivals, the settlement, rental opportunities or how to volunteer check out www.panhandlepioneer.org.
