It is well known that in the years prior to his Presidency, Theodore Roosevelt gained even more national recognition as a military leader during the Spanish- American war. WFSU's Suzanne Smith found out that Roosevelt and his volunteer unit, known as the Rough Riders, had a very interesting stopover in Tallahassee on the way to the war.
