Since the Vietnam era, the number of homeless veterans has grown significantly. Efforts are underway to reduce these numbers. For the last three years in North Florida, there has been a special event dedicated to helping these U.S. veterans. This year, The North Florida Stand Down will take place April 24th – 26th. Retired Colonels Claude Shipley and Washington Sanchez are with the Florida Veterans Foundation, Inc.. They join us to tell us more about the event and efforts being made to help and honor veterans all year long.
