EcoAdventures - Paddling the Forgotten Coast

The player will be placed here

Produced by: Rob Diaz de Villegas
Original Air Date: September 21, 2011

A few years ago, Doug Alderson took existing paddling trails on Florida's coasts and filled in every gap, making it possible to plan a paddling/ camping trip anywhere along Florida's coast. If you had the time and the know-how, you could start in Jacksonville and follow the Florida Circumnavigational Saltwater Paddling Trail all the way down to the keys and then to Pensacola. We take a closer look at a five-day segment along the Forgotten Coast, with stops on Saint George Island and in Saint Joseph Bay. In SJB we met up with our friends at Happy Ours Kayak and Canoe Outfitter, and Debbie took us snorkeling in the seagrass beds there.
