PBS Teachers® offers educators free membership. Membership provides preK-12 educators with access to the PBS Teachers online community, all of PBS’s educational services, and a searchable library of more than 9,000 free local and national standards-based teaching activities, lesson plans, on-demand video assets, and interactive games and simulations.

PBS Teachers has been recognized as a “Landmark Website for Teaching and Learning” by the American Association of School Librarians, a one-time honor reserved for top Internet sites that enhance learning and curriculum development and encourage a community of learners to explore and discover. As the site evolves and grows, it will become a collaboration hub and professional learning community. Together we will build, use, and comment on content and share best practices for using digital media in teaching and learning.

PBS Teachers Blog

The PBS Teachers Blog helps bridge that gap between theory and practice. English discusses ways to use multimedia resources to address common instructional challenges and invite readers to share their ideas. Through Media Infusion, English will help educators discover how to create rich, engaging learning experiences for students and methods for infusing their instruction with media to improve learning across grade levels and curriculum topics.

PBS Teachers LIVE: Free Webinar Series

PBS Teachers’ series of free monthly webinars are designed to help preK-12 educators learn new ways to integrate online instructional resources in the classroom and engage students in curriculum lessons. The PBS Teachers Live! webinar series features leading education experts, authors, and PBS producers who discuss timely and relevant curriculum-related topics, and share their knowledge and ideas on using digital media to create rich learning experiences for students.

PBS Teachers Live! webinars cover technology integration topics and a wide range of subjects, including science, math, reading/language arts, social studies, history, and art. For more information on upcoming webinars, visit: http://www.pbs.org/teachers/webinar/.
