Each of these kits is also available to download for free on PBS LearningMedia.

  • It’s no secret that WFSU Public Media prides itself on its history of providing quality educational programs to schools and centers across its viewing area and that a major driving force behind that work is the incredible content and support provided by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting’s Ready To Learn legacy.

For decades, our team has been providing this rich curriculum to you—classroom teachers, school administrators, and parents—for free, with only an ask that you give us your honest feedback so that we can work to improve our programming from the ground up. Now you have an opportunity to take our tried-and-true curriculum and run with it yourself, this time with all the extra bells and whistles.

Below you can find a list of some of our favorite programs we’ve implemented, turned into Ready To Learn readymade kits for you to share with your classroom or community. Kits are sold in sets of 10, plus a teacher facilitator guide. Prices are set by PBS and range from $60-$80 per camper plus shipping and handling. • Family & Community Learning

PBS KIDS and the Ready To Learn initiative have been collaborating with stations across the country to develop Family & Community Learning (FCL) workshop series since 2016, with the first series rolling out as a community outreach support for the cutting-edge kids’ coding app, PBS KIDS ScratchJR. WFSU Public Media’s Education & Engagement team has been piloting these programs with schools and libraries across Leon County and as far as Panama City since the very beginning, partnering with educators on the ground to provide valuable feedback up the ladder to the Ready To Learn team at PBS KIDS headquarters, and then help spread the word about the free resources as soon as they become available for public consumption.
