WFSU Public Media has been a proud Ready To Learn (RTL) station since the program’s inception two decades ago. This means we pilot PBS RTL resources to establish best practices with content that can be used in all sorts of learning environments. Learn more.
WFSU Public Media’s Education and Engagement team builds on the PBS tradition of inspiring young people in new ways, offering lifelong learning for parents and educators, and setting the standard for helping kids become ready to learn. Special projects from WFSU include in-school visits with students, night and weekend programs with families, professional development for parents and educators, and programs designed for pre-K to graduation and beyond. Our after school and seasonal projects ensure year-round learning, avoiding the “summer slump”, in a fun, interactive environment. At WFSU, we value our special role within the community; please let us know how we can help you!
The WFSU Education and Engagement Team works hand-in-hand with our families and community partners. Feel free to contact us with your questions or inquiries.
We are regularly in need of extra help with our numerous education programs and events. Check out our ongoing Education Internship and Volunteer opportunities. All volunteers and interns will need to pass a background check.
