Family & Community Learning
PBS KIDS and the Ready To Learn initiative have been collaborating with stations across the country to develop Family & Community Learning (FCL) workshop series since 2016, with the first series rolling out as a community outreach support for the cutting-edge kids’ coding app, PBS KIDS ScratchJR. WFSU Public Media’s Education & Engagement team has been piloting these programs with schools and libraries across Leon County and as far as Panama City since the very beginning, partnering with educators on the ground to provide valuable feedback up the ladder to the Ready To Learn team at PBS KIDS headquarters, and then help spread the word about the free resources as soon as they become available for public consumption.
The following workshop programs are available to purchase for your classroom, school, or community center, with support from our team available anytime, as always. Please reach out to tweinstein@fsu.edu to order.
