November Bytes & Books: Tallahassee

Bytes & Books is part of the scope of Ready To Learn work WFSU Public Media shares throughout the academic school year. This year our program can be experienced almost monthly in Wakulla, Monticello, Crawfordville, and Tallahassee. We partner with the Early Learning Coalition of Big Bend (ELC),  Florida Diagnostics and Learning Resources System (FDLRS) and Parents of the Panhandle Information Network (POPIN) to create trans-media lessons and activities for preschoolers, their parents and their teachers. 

Our Theme for the month of November is Transitions We will be reading Alphabet Adventure by Audrey Wood and Bruce Wood, watching an episode of Super Why! and doing a fun craft. 

We will be at Hartsfield Elementary School  (1414 Chowkeebin Nene, Tallahassee, FL 32301) in their Media Center.

Odd Squad: Be the Agent Camp

t the “Be the Agent Camp,” children will take on the role of an Odd Squad Agent. Campers can spend five days as Odd Squad agents, solving odd cases and creating useful gadgets by using teamwork, math knowledge, science and more.

WFSU / PBS Edcamp

A taste of our WFSU PBS EdCamp "un-conferences" will feature break-out sessions lead in partnership with the WFSU Education team and the Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend during the afternoon session of the ELC Conference.
