Hi, my name is Gabriella Gomez and I’m excited to intern with the WFSU Education Team this spring!
I’m from Miami, Florida and recently graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Communication & Media Studies. I come from a long line of educators, so I’m happy to be continuing their legacy through this internship. I’ve been volunteering at my elementary school almost every summer since high school, so I’ve had the opportunity to witness first-hand the impact that educators have on their community.
During my time at Florida State, I enjoyed being involved with various Latin organizations on campus. Community has always played a large role in my life. I also love to write and express my creativity through words, dance, or art. One of my favorite experiences was writing an article about the intersection of music and fashion for one of our school magazines, DWF Magazine.
Off campus, I spend time with friends and family. I love to check out new parks and coffee shops around Tallahassee! A lot of my off-time consists of grabbing a coffee and researching new music, fashion trends, or books.
My education at FSU has given me a solid foundation of everything communications/media related. It’s great that I get to put these skills, along with my educational background, to use. I am honored to be embarking on this new journey with WFSU!
