Hello! My name is Hannah and I am a rising senior at Florida State University, in the Honors college. I am double-majoring in public relations and sociology. My degree path allows me to combine my passions of strategic communication and community engagement, hopefully one day leading me to a role where I can use public relations to advocate for positive social change. I am excited to be interning with WFSU this summer and I look forward to sharpening my communication, interpersonal, and professional skills with the Education & Engagement Department.
Education and youth services have always been a huge part of my life, as I have worked in childcare in many capacities. I am a longtime volunteer with Leon County Schools and a participant in their mentorship program. I have also worked the past two summers as a camp arts and crafts instructor. Summer camp helped me realize how meaningful it is to inspire creativity and success in our youth – they really are the future!
Outside of work and school, I am involved on campus with the Honors Student Association, WVFS 89.7 FM, FSL LineDance and the Panhellenic Association. I also had the exciting opportunity to study abroad last summer with the Communication in London program. In my free time, I love to cook, go thrifting, hang out with friends, or go for a hike. I am a big coffee drinker and always looking for a new local place to try.
As a Tallahassee local, I was lucky enough to grow up watching WFSU and PBS KIDS, which makes it a full-circle moment to be here today. I am so grateful for this opportunity and I anticipate great experiences to come!
