Join us for Be My Neighbor Day 2025!
Be My Neighbor Day is one of WFSU’s most anticipated events annually, bringing together local organizations and families for a unique and fun experience. Meet over 20 community partners that serve families and young children, learn about new early education resources, and enjoy games and activities including a meet and greet with Daniel Tiger. Through Be My Neighbor Day, WFSU strives to create stronger bonds between these groups and to uplift and connect the community.

- Crafts & Activities: Explore a variety of fun, hands-on crafts and activities hosted by local community organizations.
- Daniel Tiger Meet and Greet: Take a picture with Daniel himself and feel like you’re part of the neighborhood!
- Interactive Green Screen Experience: Step into an underwater world with our exciting green screen photo ops.
- Sensory Room: For families with sensory needs, we’ve created a dedicated, calming space designed to offer a soothing environment.
- Community Resources: Learn about local services and resources available for your family through our community partners.

Be My Neighbor Day is inspired by Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and Mister Rogers. Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood was a monumental television series for children’s public media, enforcing Fred Rogers’ belief that every child deserves respect and a place to turn in times of need. Upholding the same values, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood is an animated children’s show about Daniel Tiger and his friends, seeking to connect with young kids on their level. The show fosters a sense of community, focusing on promoting ideals such as empathy, social skills, and self-esteem.
Through Be My Neighbor Day, kids can see the lessons taught in Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood come to life as they interact with their local leaders and understand the importance of those who live and work around them.
