WFSU Public Media is the parent organization for both The Florida Channel and The Florida Center for Interactive Media. You will also find listing for these organizations below. Although the leadership of these organizations communicate regularly, projects are usually organization dependent as the goals of each organization varies.

Job Description: Florida Center for Interactive Media

Responsibilities

Creating and modifying custom web design projects based on established requirements and style guide using original HTML, JavaScript with React, and CSS with SASS. Confirming programming meets project needs by conducting tests, debugging code issues, and modifying as appropriate to ensure acceptable functionality. Testing and evaluating interface designs, identifying usability issues including 508 compliance, and implement revisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of experience related to the duties of this position; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience related to the duties of this position. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years) Experience maintaining application systems and developing new applications using original HTML, JavaScript with React, and CSS with SASS. Experience utilizing and developing standard programming languages, concepts, practices, and gathering data, analysis, and testing methodologies and techniques. Experience with current media technology, trends, and web design and development. Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment and meet project deadlines.

Test, debug, and deploy applications using the latest browsers for IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. Create documents to be used for client requests for programming tasks for new and existing applications.
