WFSU Public Media is the parent organization for both The Florida Channel and The Florida Center for Interactive Media. You will also find listing for these organizations below. Although the leadership of these organizations communicate regularly, projects are usually organization dependent as the goals of each organization varies.

Job Description: This position is located within the Underwriting Department at WFSU Public Media, Florida State University's affiliate PBS and NPR station.

Responsibilities

As part of the Development Department at WFSU-TV/FM serves as a Marketing Representative for WFSU. Accountable for securing new and renewing television, radio and digital underwriting sponsorships from the corporate community. Serves as the primary contact with the corporate community including CEO’s, business owners, and key decision makers on behalf of WFSU. Responsible for the creation of customized on-air and digital underwriting solutions, that satisfies the requirements of each client. Works closely with Development Director in building short and long term fulfillment goals for WFSU. Helps set policies and goals that can determine future funding resources for WFSU. Responsible for developing and coordinating marketing programs, activities, and services. Develops, coordinates, and secures funding for promotional events in conjunction with WFSU Membership Department. May promote membership and sponsorship opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience related to the duties of this position; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience related to the duties of this position. (Note: a combination post high school education and experience equal to six years.) Ability to develop and implement a successful marketing plan/strategy. Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives. Ability to utilize problem solving skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Experience utilizing and developing standard programming languages, concepts, practices, and gathering data, analysis, and testing methodologies and techniques.
