What inspires you from WFSU Public Media? Here's this week's Voices That Inspire. My name is Gabrielle, Gabrielle. I'm a leadership coach, speaker and trainer, and I also am the executive director of a nonprofit organization called Life Worth Leading that helps benefit people with disabilities through a lot of different opportunities, including scuba diving. I get energy by giving energy to other people. And so through my leadership academy and through my nonprofit organization, my job is to help people become the best versions of themselves to overcome fears, to overcome any limitations, whether it's physical or in your minds, and to help them excel. And I find that regardless of the environment, whether it's in a classroom or lately with Zoom or in the water, when people start to overcome fears, profoundly positive things happen in every other aspect of their lives. I was an undergraduate at Florida State University when I took my first scuba class. And I realized that I had a passion for helping people who were differently abled. And so I had friends who had disabilities and we couldn't find an instructor for them. And I thought, scuba would help you so much. It would just be an awesome sport for you. I decided to pursue becoming an instructor in order to kind of fill that gap of what was needed here. And so I did and I absolutely love it. A leader to me is somebody who positively influences other people, nothing more. So you can be a leader in your family, in your church, in your organization, in your business, in your country. You can be a leader anytime you positively influence other people. I'm Gabrielle, Gabrielle, and I absolutely believe that people should be passionate about life and the gift that it is. You're listening to voices that inspire.
