What inspires you from WFSU Public Media? Here's this week's Voices That Inspire. My name is Bart Gunner and I'm the area vice president of Rogers Gunner Vaughn Insurance Hub, Florida. My family were public servants. That's what we knew. It was part of being engaged and involved. I go to the Bradfordville Baptist Church and our motto is loving upward, inward and outward. As far as inspiration goes, you have to look up, you have to find it, you have to incorporate it. You can't let your give a dang get busted. You got to engage and be looking for those opportunities because when you do, you find pockets of opportunity. That's something that's always been really encouraging to me about where we live, is that people here and the opportunities are incredible. You just have to connect the dots sometimes. You find out the life isn't really about money. It's about relationships. It's about common efforts. It's about community. You just want to do your part. For all focusing only inward instead of outward, that's a pretty limited journey. That path is pretty tight. It's so fulfilling to be a part of groups that are thinking outside the box that are trying to make our city something even more special than what it is. When you think back on inspiration, you think about the family members, the people I work with, the Sunday school teachers, the high school teachers. Boy, they put a lot into me and every one day I'll be a face that flashes through somebody's mind. So hey, that guy was alright. My name is Bart Gunner and I'm the area vice president for Rogers Gunner Vaughn Insurance Hub, Florida. My wife Jennifer and I are proud Tallahasseeans. Voices that inspire is sponsored by Leadership Tallahassee, a program of the Tallahassee Chamber, celebrating 35 years of cultivating community leadership.
