What inspires you from WFSU Public Media? Here's this week's Voices That Inspire. My name is Calvin Hall Jr., owner, founder, CEO of Elite Abilitation Services. We specialize in developmental and intellectual disabilities. It started primarily with my father, my father was paralyzed when I was young at a young age where I think most people really wouldn't be able to grasp the concept, but I think I took it and ran with it from that day on. It's just been instilled in me. I just wanted to do the best that I could do to beat up for my father at the time that he needed me. My dad, you saw always telling me, you always helped people in need and it was something that, you know, when I was younger, I used to cry every day because I never really understood why things just happened as just me. And I never was angry, it just hurt a lot because I had a father that couldn't walk and I was in this war. And he could never do it, but he promised me that one day he would get up out of the wheelchair and he did and we shot hoops and it made me feel so good. And I think, you know, that inspired me, the, you know, the shoot for the stars and it helped me to inspire your others. And I think by working with the kids that I work with now, I think that really helps me kind of cope with my, my father's laws. If you've ever experienced a child, a dog, with a mental illness or a disability, don't count them out, you know, give them some assistance, make them feel normal, make them feel like they're a person just as you would a family member, a son, daughter, aunt, niece, nephew, treating them with respect and dignity. Calvin Hall Jr., owner, founder, CEO of Elite Abilitation Services, will be specialized in developmental and intellectual disabilities. Your listening to voices that inspire.
