What inspires you from WFSU Public Media? Here's this week's Voices That Inspire. My name is Antonio Montoya and I'm the Executive Director at Tommy Station. And I guess I'm a curious cat, I guess. What we try to do is to provide the resources, the tools, the support to let individuals reach their potential through entrepreneurship and innovation. I don't know if I inspired a mod I enabled them, right? You know, we want to be enablers. People have these drive and when they have these drive, it can be hard. They're reflecting up on my own journey. There's a lot of people that are going to tell you, what are you doing that? I mean, like, that's not the norm, that's not necessarily what you want to do. A lot of my friends that graduated with me, I mean, they have been 30 years in the same company, they're about to retire. It's been cool for them. That's not the path I wanted, I didn't see myself there. And many people are going to tell you, like, like, don't do that. My own mom did that, right? You know, because my dad was an entrepreneur, right? So that was kind of difficult for her. So when you're there, you want to be able to provide some guidance, some mentorship, some reflection, because it's a hard journey. It can be exciting, but it can also be very hard and trying. It's good to be in an opportunity where you're seeing so many people that are trying to get something done and then enable them to do it. Make it easier for them, give them the resources, give them guidance, so that they can be successful and they can actually survive the process, which can be very difficult. I do get a lot of my energy from working around people that are in a mission. And on a good one, that is inspiring. And I feel that here in Tallahassee, I see a lot of those. I'm Antonio Montoya. I am the Executive Director at the Mestation. You're listening to voices that inspire.
