What inspires you from WFSU Public Media? Here's this week's Voices That Inspire. My name is El Jaram, so I go to McClay High School. Once my life I've always been in public schools, I came from Montgomery, Alabama, and I moved to Florida, like a year prior, tours going to McClay. And it was just a new experience of going and once you get to meet all the students and the teachers and the coaches, and you see that everybody has like an interest in you. And they wanted to see you to see no matter what. It just felt really great to be around that type of environment. I will be a tentative family for football and pursuing my major in industrial engineering. Who inspires me? It's most definitely my mom, because she is a hardworking woman. I've watched her over the years, and as I've grown and come to age to all her doings and efforts and endless struggles, I hate to see it. And with sports, I've kind of used that as an avenue or an option of an avenue to help her get out of that my stress alive. So when I go to family for football, it would lessen the cost of her when she asked for pay for. And she inspires me to be educated, and to get all the knowledge that I can from every other source that I can. She always keeps me on task, has great ideas for what I should do for school, for community involvement, especially community involvement. She's just my main inspiration in their life. I'm playing the inspired all those who want to be successful. You know, success isn't just going to come to you. You're going to have to want it. Make something of yourself and make it great. My name is El Jarrams and I go to McClay High School. You're listening to voices that inspire.
Eljin Rhymes - Make Something of Yourself and Make it Great

After moving to Florida from Montgomery, Alabama, Eljin Rhymes found an inclusive community at Maclay High School. As a future FAMU football player and Industrial Engineering major, Rhymes' hard-working mom inspires him to pursue an education. He hopes to inspire all others who strive to be successful to work hard for what they want in life.
