What inspires you from WFSU Public Media? Here's this week's Voices That Inspire. My name is Ploma Rambella. I am a seventh grader and I go to McClay Middle School. I am a young adult who advocates on behalf of blind and visually impaired students. I would like that we could further the improvements with vision tools for students who are 16 years old in this gap of students who aren't receiving vision equipment and teachers. If we can help them and they are receiving the same equipment and technology, ultimately they are totally going to be way more productive adults and help with everyday tasks and will have a greater population of intelligent people. I have held two rallies from the Department of Education to the Capitol. I have met with lobbyist legislators all around. I have met with Marco Rubio and Gwen Graham in DC to help influence a bigger bill for $2 billion in national funding. You have to continue to strive for what you want and you have the opportunity to do so and you're going to have many barriers and I'm going to be completely honest in saying that life is no piece of cake or it's not as easy as it looks. Using time effort and skill you are able to find yourself as an influential person in society. I think I'm going to be pursuing my education for a very long time, combining all my interests, I would say sciences, it was where I see myself in the future or being a totally broke college student after 20 years of education. My name is Pullemarambana, I'm in 7th grade and I go to McClay Middle School. Voices that inspire is sponsored by Leadership Tallahassee, a program of the Tallahassee Chamber celebrating 35 years of cultivating community leadership.
